Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 22 Jan 2025 I don’t know who or what the foundation of your trust and confidence is, but I can assure you that unless you have Christ as the one in whom you trust, your life is on shifting sands and all that you build on that foundation will not stand in time of fiery trials. It is absolutely futile to trust in yourself or put your confidence in other people because you will disappoint yourself and others will fail you. This is because humans are limited in their ability and are defective by nature. Only Jehovah is perfect, timeless and limitless in power and is at the same time sovereign. It seems it is a no brainer who you should put your trust in but you must start with seeking to know Christ and embrace Him as your Saviour and Lord. Make that life transforming start today. Pray: Heavenly Lord, I repent of my failure to trust in You. Please forgive me and lead me to build a trusting relationship with You. #Mok

God’s Word for Today - 21 Jan 2025 Jeremiah 9:4 KJV — Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.   Reflection on God’s Word for Today - 21 Jan 2025 I believe very much that if it wasn’t necessary God will not have warned us to beware of others and not to trust anyone absolutely, not even those in the household of faith. Human beings carry a defective nature that most times think mostly of self and self first and even self alone. So when they have to make a choice between sacrificing your trust in them and satisfying their own needs, they will choose the latter at your detriment. This is the root of several dysfunctional and broken relationships in the world today, and sadly too, the cause of infractions and wars among communities and nations. Trust once broken is extremely difficult to restore and it can lead to incurable anger and bitterness, especially among those who are not in Christ. Heed God’s warning today.     Pray: Oh Lord God, thank You for the timely warning not to put confidence in human beings. Help me to trust You alone absolutely. #Mok

You must be very conscious that satan wants to distract you and cause you to fail. He wants you to focus on issues that do not matter and have no relevance for the salvation of perishing souls. Today’s scripture is God’s reminder to you to keep focus and maintain your composure at all times. Let your Director the Holy Spirit have absolute control and help you to discern when and how to engage and when and how to ignore the opposition. Remember that with Christ you will always overcome every opposition.     Pray: Divine Spirit of God, I yield totally to You, give me wisdom to overcome every distraction from the course. #Mok
