Today's scripture underpins the saying "no venture, no gain". You need to make an intentional effort to get what you desire. That's the norm, even in God's kingdom. But unlike in the world, your motive for that desire must be in line with God's holy standard, otherwise you will be asking amiss. Let your motive be pure.
